As a player, Anthony Magana played at various Cal South soccer clubs, including Fullerton Rangers and Arsenal FC. After earning a trial at C.D. Guadalajara Chivas, Magana traveled to Guadalajara where he spent 9 months training and playing for C.D. Guadalajara’s Fuerzas Basicas Academy, before returning home to finish his High School education.
Magana attended Norco High School, where he received First Team All-League Honors, while helping Norco reach CIF Playoffs. After High School, he again travelled abroad to pursue a soccer career, this time traveling to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Magana enjoyed a 6 month stint at Nova Iguacu F.C. where he played in the Juniores Category.
After returning from Brazil, Magana attended Riverside Community College where he played 2 years and earned his Associate’s Degree. While playing at RCC, He helped lead RCC to their most successful season to date. In his sophomore season he was recruited by Hope International University, where he received NCCAA All-America Team Honors.
Magana started coaching in 2006 and has since coached both club and high school soccer. While coaching at Norco High School, he helped lead Norco to CIF Playoffs, a feat they have not achieved since his departure in 2008.
In 2007 Magana co-founded JT Soccer LLC, a company thatorganizes elite soccer camps and tours worldwide. Every summer since its inception JT Soccer LLC has organized travel and arranged training with professional coaches for elite players from all over the US and Mexico.
BYSC Corona United is the City of Corona's #1 Soccer Club. BYSC Corona United is dedicated to both the recreational and competitive player, having specific programs for both types. Both programs are dedicated to the development of the American soccer player and is in line with the US Soccer Federation’s standards and mandates based on age and level of play.
