David Trevino joined the BYSC Corona United coaching staff in 2010. He is entering his 7th season as an Assistant Coach for the Men’s soccer program at La Sierra University. He assisted the Golden Eagles reach the Aii-Conference Semifinal (2011), a CalPac Conference Final (2013) and a Top 25 National Ranking.
Trevino also serves as the Head Coach of the newly formed NPSL team, Deportivo Coras USA, an affiliated franchise with a professional team in Mexico. In 2014, He lead them to a SCP U23 League and State Championship, earning them qualification to the US Open Cup. He was also involved in leading the reserves to a USL Super 20 Southwest Regional Championship.
Since 2010, David has also been coaching at Norte Vista High School for the Boys Varsity team. In 2014, the team was undefeated League Champions and CIF quarterfinalists.
Trevino joined the coaching staff after playing his collegiate career at La Sierra University, where he was a 4-year starter and team captain. After his college career, he played for the Los Angeles Bolts of the PASL along with a number of semi-pro teams. This included participation in reaching the PASL National Tournament Final and the US Open Indoor Cup Semifinals.
At La Sierra University, David earned a Bachelor of Art in Business Management and is on the verge of completing an MBA in Accounting.
BYSC Corona United is the City of Corona's #1 Soccer Club. BYSC Corona United is dedicated to both the recreational and competitive player, having specific programs for both types. Both programs are dedicated to the development of the American soccer player and is in line with the US Soccer Federation’s standards and mandates based on age and level of play.
