Josh Blanco graduated from Centennial High School in Corona, where he played 3 years of Varsity soccer and garnering first team All-League during his senior year.
Blanco then played collegiately at California Baptist University from 2004-2006, both as a field player and as a goal keeper. He currently holds the record for the best single-season goals against average at CBU for the 2005 season. Blanco graduated in 2008 with a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Physical Education.
From 2011-2014 Blanco served as the Associate Head Coach at Hope University, where HIU qualified for the regional tournament in back to back years for the first time in school history. While at HIU, he led the program to their very first post-season game against Vanguard.
In 2014 Blanco moved to the Cal Poly Pomona Womens Program to become the Goalkeeper Coach.
He has coached at the club level since 2004, and has coached varsity high school since 2002.
Josh speaks both English and Spanish.
BYSC Corona United is the City of Corona's #1 Soccer Club. BYSC Corona United is dedicated to both the recreational and competitive player, having specific programs for both types. Both programs are dedicated to the development of the American soccer player and is in line with the US Soccer Federation’s standards and mandates based on age and level of play.
