About Manny Esparza
Manny Ruiz is one of the most well rounded coaches at BYSC. Manny has played and coached both here in the US and in Mexico. Manny was part of a very successful junior college program, Santa Barbara City College, where he was an All-Conference player. In 2005 he was recruited to play at California Baptist University where he played from 2005-2007 and wore the captains arm band in his senior year.
From 1999-2003 Manny played for semi-pro sides Panteras Estrella, Club Campestre, and Mandyn FC, where he also began coaching in Mandyns youth system. During this time Manny also got a taste of professional soccer, training and being on trial with Atletico Celaya of the 2nd Division, Leon FC (reserves), and Queretaro FC(reserves).
Manny has been with BYSC since 2008, making him one of the longest serving coaches on staff. In the 2014/2015 season he led all his team’s to league promotions, winning two league titles along the way.
Manny is also an Assistant Coach for the Norco College Women’s Program.
